What if the captain asks for more money than my confirmation says?
Pay the balance shown on your booking, plus anything you genuinely added on the day. If you are asked for more than that, take a note of it and tell us with your booking reference.
Your confirmation states the trip price, the deposit you paid and the balance owed. Fuel surcharges and unexplained increases beyond that balance are not part of the agreement.
Extras you actually chose on the day — more hours, live bait you asked for, drinks — are a different matter and are reasonably charged.
Tell us either way. A captain doing this to visitors is doing it repeatedly, and we would rather know while they are still on the site.
