Getting started
How the marketplace works for operators, what it costs, and how commission and ranking fit together.
- How does listing on this site work? You list your boat and trips for free. Guests find you, send a request, and you accept or decline it. The guest pays a deposit online and pays you the balance on the day.
- What does it cost to list?Nothing. No listing fee, no monthly charge, no charge for photos or for having more than one boat. We earn only when a trip is booked through the site and actually runs.
- How does the commission work? You choose 10%, 20% or 30%. The guest pays that percentage as their deposit when they book, we keep it, and you collect the rest of the trip price directly from them on the day.
- How does ranking work?Commission tier is the main lever you control: 30% ranks above 20%, which ranks above 10%, among otherwise comparable trips. It is not the only factor, and it will not rescue a thin listing.
- How will you actually bring me bookings?By buying Google and Facebook advertising aimed at travellers planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta, and by ranking for the searches they make. That is the whole job, and it is why the commission exists.
- What kinds of trips can I list?Fishing charters inshore and offshore, sailing and sunset trips, whale watching, scuba and snorkelling, island tours, Yelapa and south-shore runs, and multi-day trips.
- Do I have to be based in Puerto Vallarta? You need to run trips in Bahía de Banderas. Marina Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, La Cruz, Punta Mita, Boca de Tomatlán and the south shore all qualify.
