The deposit, the balance you pay the captain, currencies, and what the price does and does not include.

• When am I charged for my trip?Not when you send the request. Once the captain confirms, you pay a deposit online to lock the date, and you settle the balance with the captain on the day of the trip.
• What is the deposit and how much is it?A part-payment that confirms your date and takes the boat off the market. The amount varies by trip and is shown in full before you pay anything.
• How do I pay the balance to the captain?Directly to the captain when the trip goes out, and cash in pesos is what most crews prefer. The exact balance is on your booking, so there should be no surprises at the dock.
• Is there a booking fee or service charge?No. The deposit plus the balance comes to exactly the trip price shown on the listing, plus any extras you chose. Nothing is added on top for booking through this site.
• Is the price per boat or per person?Private charters are priced per boat, so the cost is the same whether two or six of you go. Shared trips, dive trips and most tours are priced per person.
• What payment methods can I use?The deposit is paid by credit or debit card through Stripe. The balance is settled directly with the captain, usually in cash and usually in pesos.
• What currency am I charged in?You can browse prices in US dollars, Canadian dollars or Mexican pesos, but converted figures are an estimate. The deposit is charged in the currency the captain set on the listing, and checkout shows that amount before you pay.
• What if the captain asks for more money than my confirmation says?Pay the balance shown on your booking, plus anything you genuinely added on the day. If you are asked for more than that, take a note of it and tell us with your booking reference.
