Cancellations
Setting your terms, weather calls, mechanical problems, and what happens when a guest cancels.
- How do I set my cancellation policy? You write your own terms on each listing. They are shown to the guest before they book and the version they saw is the version that governs their trip.
- How do I cancel a confirmed trip?Cancel it in your workspace and contact the guest yourself. Their deposit is refunded in full, and we will try to move them to another boat in the bay.
- I need to cancel for weather. What happens?Nothing is held against you. The decision to sail is yours alone, the guest's deposit is refunded or the trip is moved, and it does not count as a cancellation on your record.
- My boat has a mechanical problem. What do I do?Cancel or move the trip as early as you can, and tell us. If you can put the guest on another suitable boat you trust, that is usually the best outcome for everyone.
- What happens if a guest cancels?Your cancellation terms decide whether their deposit is returned. You have not been paid anything at that point, so the cost to you is the day rather than money.
