How do I close my account?
Contact us and we will close it. Records connected to completed bookings and payments are kept where we are required to keep them.
Closing an account removes your profile and stops all email from us. Booking and payment records tied to trips that actually happened are retained, because tax and payment rules require it of any business handling money.
Before you ask, cancel or complete any trip still open on the account — an account with a confirmed booking cannot be closed until that trip has run or been cancelled, because the captain needs to be able to reach you. Reviews you have left may stay published, since they belong to the trip as much as to you; tell us if you want them removed as well. Once the account is closed it cannot be reopened, so if you come back to the bay you make a new one.
