What if I get double-booked?
Tell us immediately and contact the guest. Where we can, we will find another boat in the bay to take them rather than losing them entirely.
It happens, usually when a booking taken by phone did not make it onto the calendar. Speed is everything — a guest told three weeks out can be rearranged, a guest told the night before cannot.
Cancelling on a confirmed guest is the most damaging thing an operator can do here, so the calendar is worth keeping current for that reason alone.
If you have a colleague with a comparable boat who can take the guest on the same day, offer that first, with the guest's agreement — a substituted boat they were told about is a trip that still happened. Then block the date so it cannot happen twice.
