Do I keep the tips?
Entirely. Tips are given to you and your crew directly at the dock and never touch this site, so no commission is taken on them.
Guests are told that fifteen to twenty per cent is normal here and that pesos in cash are most useful to the crew. What happens between them and you is your business.
Tips do not appear anywhere on the booking and we do not track them, ask about them or take a share. If a guest asks how much to tip, fifteen to twenty per cent of the trip price is the range we give them, in cash, in pesos. What helps the crew most is a guest who knows in advance that a tip is customary here — many first-time visitors from outside North America genuinely do not — so a line in your description saying that gratuities are appreciated and paid to the crew directly is worth having.
