If a booking is refunded, who pays it?
We do. The deposit is the only money that has changed hands before the trip, and refunding it comes out of our commission rather than your pocket.
Because you have not been paid anything at that stage, a cancellation before the trip costs you the day but not money you already had.
If you cancel on a guest, or the weather stops the trip, their deposit is returned in full. That is our cost, not yours.
The exception is a trip that has already run. Once the guest has paid you the balance, any complaint about the day is between the guest, you and us together, and we will not refund a guest out of your money without talking to you first. Deposits refunded before a trip are ours to absorb; the balance you collected is yours.
