A guest has not turned up. What do I do?
Try to reach them, wait a reasonable time, then tell us. The deposit is not returned for a no-show, and you keep the day.
Ring them before you write the day off — hotels, taxis and time zones account for most late arrivals. If they genuinely do not appear, record it with us the same day.
You will not have collected the balance in this situation, which is the practical cost of a no-show under this model. Tell us, because a guest with a pattern of it is one we want to know about.
Tell us the same day with the reference so the booking is recorded as a no-show rather than left open. That is what protects you if the guest later disputes the deposit with their bank, because the record shows the boat was there and they were not.
