How much should I tip the crew?

Tipping is customary here and forms a real part of what a mate earns. Fifteen per cent is a fair baseline, twenty per cent or more for a crew that has put you on fish, handled a nervous guest well, or cleaned a heavy catch.

Pesos are more useful to the crew than dollars. Whatever you pay online, bring the tip in cash.

If the crew were poor — late, rude, no effort — tip less and tell us why. A tip is a judgment on the day, not a fee. Bear in mind, though, that a day with no fish is not the same as a day of poor crew; the fish do not always cooperate, and a crew that worked hard for nothing has still worked hard.
