Is there parking at the marina?

Marina Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta and La Cruz all have parking near the docks for a modest daily charge, payable in cash. Boca de Tomatlán has very limited space and fills early, so a taxi is often the easier answer there.

Expect to pay in cash, in pesos, at a booth or to an attendant, and expect a modest daily rate rather than an hourly one. Marina Vallarta has parking near the docks; Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz has a paid lot; Nuevo Vallarta depends on which dock your boat uses, so ask the captain which gate. A rental car can sit in a marina lot all day without trouble, but leave nothing visible inside.

If you are staying in the hotel zone or Old Town, a taxi is often cheaper than parking plus fuel once you count both directions, and it means nobody has to drive after a long day in the sun.
