What time does the trip leave, and what if I am late?
Your departure time is on your confirmation. Arrive at least fifteen minutes early — boats leave on time because tides, bookings and daylight do not wait.
Most fishing trips in this bay leave early, often between six and seven in the morning, because the water is calmest and the fishing is best at first light. Sunset and whale-watching trips run to the light at the other end of the day.
A boat that waits for one late group shortens the trip for everyone on board and may miss its window entirely. If you are running late, ring the captain immediately rather than hoping.
Missing the departure is treated as a no-show under the captain's cancellation terms, and normally means the trip is not refunded.
