Is there a toilet on board?
Larger offshore boats normally have one. Smaller inshore pangas often do not. The trip page is the place to check, and it is a fair question to ask before booking.
Anything running long offshore days is likely to have a head on board, because the trips are simply too long without one. Smaller inshore boats and pangas frequently do not, which is worth knowing before a four-hour morning with a family.
If it matters to your group, ask before you request the booking. No captain minds the question.
On boats without a head, crews are used to the situation and will run in to a beach or arrange a stop if someone genuinely needs it — but that costs fishing time for everyone.
